SONY – AMAZON encouraging self-publishing?
Does this affect Australian and New Zealand Book Retailers…?

Will the move by SONY and AMAZON allowing writers to self publish should only be looked as a threat to Australian and New Zealand book retailer revenue if the retailer doesn’t have Digital on-line and Digital in-store Kiosks delivering digital book content to their customers on-line and in-store.

·         Are options available for Australian and New Zealand book retailers to add Digital on-line and Digital in-store Kiosks into their mix – YES.
 

·         Are Australian and New Zealand book retailers taking self publishing Digital on-line and Digital in-store Kiosks seriously, some are some aren’t.
 

·         Australian and New Zealand book retailers should observe the demise of international and Australian and New Zealand photography retailers who were slow to take Digital and on-line retailing seriously…Mmm.
