We have commented in other articles about the massive discounting being observed in Australia’s Shopping Centres - we have said repeatedly that Australian retailers in particular should have fine tuned their OTB’s running with three weeks less risk stock.

·         What Australian retailers do not want is the ‘accountants or bankers choke’ on basics, semi basics and hero ranges stock levels.

It is not too late to review buyer OTB’s with regard to quantities of risk inventory adjusting risk, therefore forced current or future markdowns and excessive discounting.
