Big Retailers Expanding or Just Mopping Up More Market Share?

Another supportive message to the Rudd government
Minister for Competition and Small Business Craig Emerson.

We are seeing a continual trend of seeing major Australian retailers with preferential closed market shopping centre occupancy cost relationships taking more and more market share from efficient, high employing Australian volume specialty chains.

·         This would not be allowed to happen in any other country in the OECD – another supportive message to the Rudd government Minister for Competition and Small Business.

We are supportive of those moves proposed by Craig Emerson to re-balance the Australian retail sector – right now it is Australian consumers who are the losers.
